Jamie S. doesn’t consider himself a runner. He actually hates the running. Walking he’ll do. But he loves volunteering, and helping to make the world a better place.
“My dad died of cancer. My wife has had many carcinomas cut off her skin. I’m a scientist. I know there are answers awaiting good labs that just need funding. I run (walk/jog/run) this because I believe it is a good thing. I know, as the research progresses, there will be fewer ‘In Memory’ ribbons and more ‘In Honor’ of ones on my back next year.”
Jamie provides the team unending comic relief. His sense of humor, willingness to get involved, and his constant encouragement of others makes Jamie one of our super heroes.
